Clinics are based on the idea of bettering communication between horse and human whether on the ground or in the saddle. Understanding why your horse may act or react a certain way and then learn how to help your horse understand what you are asking of them. Instead of just making them do something. Get your horse to want to be with you to want to follow you leadership and to want to be soft from the inside.

All clinics offered by Leslie and S bar horsemanship work on building a solid foundation of trust communication and respect. Respect of both horse and human, it is a 2 way street. The horse is always trying to figure out what we are asking, and what we need from him; sometimes we are just not clear.

When you attend a clinic, you will experience a different perspective of horsemanship. You may work in the round pen, on the ground or on your horses back in a way that will help you improve your understanding and feel, therefor improving your communication. You may ride in a group or individually depending on the set up of the particular clinic.

While attending a beginner horsemanship camp or clinic at S bar horsemanship you will have instruction and encouragement on basic ground work skills such as: proper position for encouraging movement in your horse. Movement that can be forward, backward and sideways. You will also learn some technique to stay safe, and how to read your horses intentions. So you will know when to use groundwork, and round pen work to benefit you and your horse. Then learn how to tell if your horse is ready to ride, and why.

You will always have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss what is happening at the clinic. You will be allowed to move at your own pace, no one learns at the same rate and some people as well as horses need to spend more time on one area. The relaxed and safe atmosphere encouraged learning and understanding.

Clinics are a fun, organized, and safe way to move forward in you horsemanship. While watching others with similar goals you will be submerged in a learning environment. And any day you can spend with your horse playing and working through new challenges is a great day.

Clinics at S bar horsemanship will help you with your horsemanship no matter if you are a beginner, a new horse owner, or an old pro trying new technique. No matter what style of riding or what program you follow we can help you to refine your skills and improve your communication with your horse.

Please if you have a questions about clinics, hosting, attending or otherwise don’t hesitate to email or call.
