Clinics and Barn News:

Last updated October 7, 2008

Spring has sprung at S_bar Horsemanship! The tulips have bloomed, the grass is growing and it is time to ride. We have been out getting our horses in shape physically and mentally for a long summer of riding.

The first cow working clinic went great, congrats to Sierra, Cody, Kelsey, Nancy, Jody and Martha for being brave enough to go out and ride with the cows. You guys did great! The competitions start in June. The gymkhana season is getting started as well.

Leslie will be off to ride with Mark Rashid again the end of May. We know she’ll bring back some great information for us to share.

We have a lot going on at S_bar Horsemanship this year and we hope to see you all there.

Tips and Tricks :
Care and Training of your horse

Tip: Always remember that a horse needs direction. If the horse doesn't understand the command it cannot possibly comply! Your job is to communicate effectively with the horse.

Tip: Summer is a hot time around the barn. Every task is made more difficult by the heat. Make sure your animals always have access to water and shelter.
